#PARIS Thomas Houseago creates monumental pieces that transmit both power and vulnerability. They proceed from the material, from the frank and voluntary, incarnate gesture, a gesture that expresses the desire to give shape to objects, to characters, to propose an aesthetic universe that is not without reminding the problems of the avant-garde: fragmented forms of cubists, angular cutting, structured in jerky movements that gives a dynamic, sometimes raw reading of the human or animal figure, so little represented today in contemporary sculpture.
