Since its creation, La Fabrique de l’Esprit® has developed educational content, developed cultural educational programs in support of contemporary works and works from the Francès collection. All of its programs address educational, artistic and cultural issues.

The art history program is for everyone. From initiation from 4 years old, to deepening knowledge from 8 to 15 years old to adults.

The Fabrique de l’Esprit® also develops tailor-made projects. Personalized and adapted to the problems of the educational teams of the educational institutions to answer, works in support, to the singular educational and cultural expectations of the establishments.

The exhibition La Fabrique de l’Esprit®, Du regard à l’expérience, presents a selection of works from the Francès collection chosen to illustrate the contents of its artistic education programme.
A concrete reality to feed the story or experimentation and thus give access to art for all.

This exhibition goes back to the origins of the foundation: works in dialogue and the notion of narrative, sublimating at the same time the experience of aesthetic pleasure. Thus, the public is invited to discover the remains of a flesh experienced by Berlinde de Bruyckere, the Dutch light of Désirée Dolron’s photographs, through the organic sculptures of Pascale Marthine Tayou. Finally, Jean Rustin and the digital inspirations of Andy Denzler and Matthieu Boucherit dialogue face to face. With Adrian Ghenie, The Flight into Egypt II, as the climax, and his desire to awaken our consciences in the face of imminent dangers, all around these works, a quest for meaning, alongside philosophical reflections close to those of Lucretia (around 98-55 BC) on the need to immerse ourselves in nature for the purpose of blooming.
This nature is present in situ, cohabiting with the works since a bio-inspired residence is experimented within the corporate foundation Francès.

The first residency for bio-inspired artists.
In order to stimulate and provoke new exchanges, create new experiences and artistic projects inspired by this logic of research and innovation with the living, this residence is part of a creative and experimental purpose, and is characterized by transmission and exchange around materials, the environment or innovation. Artists such as Michel Blazy, or Eduardo Kac, are references in bio-inspired creation. Nature is a prolific source of inspiration, which is transmitted and developed, this first artists’ residency is immersive and aims to create a work of identity, while developing exchanges between artists, researchers, private and public institutions.

Lucas Dauvergne and Mathieu Corticchiato are the two winners of the call for projects launched in 2017. Their project proposes the creation of a nest sculpture thanks to the active participation of weaver ants, the Formicidae Oecophylla. From eye to experience is an exhibition that questions human nature through a transgenerational creative process.

Created in 2009 by Hervé and Estelle Francès, the Foundation is conceived as a think tank around a group of nearly 600 works.

The collection brings together 250 artists from 50 countries expressing themselves as well through paintings, photographs, sculptures, installations, videos, misappropriated objects… An observation a posteriorori reveals a red thread, that of”Man and his excesses” and then becomes a source of inspiration and asserted beliefs.
