#Huawei, Mina Feingold, Helmut Lang: Lili Tisseyre’s Christmas Wishlist
Notice to those like me who always do their Christmas shopping at the last minute! Here are some suggestions according to my desires and discoveries. All year round, I write them down in a corner of my head thinking I’ll find a time to take care of them. And in this end-of-year period, that seems to me to indicate everything!
First of all, make way for technology with the Huawei Mate 20 Pro. He had totally taped us up last March during the presentation under the vault of the Grand Palais. An American-style show for the Chinese giant who wants to compete with the iphone using the same codes! So we succeeded with this model equipped with a triple sensor, high-performance Leica optics (notice to photographers!) and full of artificial intelligence that allow you to identify and manage your images and videos. I love the duck blue or Billecart-Salmon pink color! Ultra thin, the handling is lightweight and the user experience convincing enough for me to add to my list. If Santa Claus hears me, I could make you experience live openings and exhibition visits with perfect image quality and fluidity.
Huawei Mate 20 Pro, about 999€
A weekend in the south at the Hotel du Clos in the heart of Le Rouret. A very nice establishment in the hinterland of Provence, thirty minutes from Nice. 12 beautiful modern rooms with southern accents in a spirit of “country inn” that invites you to idleness, especially in the heart of summer, by the pool. The hotel is next to the starred table at Le clos Saint-Pierre. But what attracts us more particularly is the owner’s artistic bias, which is not only displayed in the rooms. In the 5000m2 park of the property, she has chosen to exhibit sculptures that she has carefully selected. We fell in love with “Palmië”, the last piece installed at the end of the summer. A slim, slender, purposeful and moving figure that seems to take us by the hand and say “come on, it’s this way!\”. The artist, Mina Feingold is a woman sculptor who creates monumental bronze creations, delicate and strong at the same time, serene and of great vitality. You can feel the mastery of the gesture and the artist’s willingness to share.
Hotel du Clos, weekend from 660€
Le Clos Saint Pierre:Menu 40 at 67€
A visit to the very pretty and sharp bookstore of the house Alaïa rue de la verrerie is the right place if you lack ideas. Here, no lack of taste for your Christmas, come without a precise idea and let yourself be guided by the very assertive choice of Guevork Aivazian, the bookseller. Design, fashion, photography: Make way for unpublished or reference works magnificently staged in the middle of the Jean Prouvé furniture and under the approving gaze of an Azzedine Alaïa painted by Julian Schnabel, pieces from the collection of the master of the place that disappeared last year.
Azzedine Alaïa Foundation
18, rue de la Verrerie – 4e
Open every day from 11am to 7pm
A Hoodie by Jeremy Deller for Helmut Lang: Last summer, Helmut Lang gave carte blanche for a capsule collection to the winner of the 2004 Turner prize. A proposal that includes 3 soft and comfortable pink sweatshirts for “Pink Capsule” for the upcoming holiday season. A few grams of pure cotton sweetness in this world of thugs!
