#MARRAKECH For the 3rd year, the auction house of the Rond Point des Champs Elysées, Artcurial organizes a prestigious art sale dedicated to African art. The international Jetset, which meets for the holidays in an effervescent Marrakech, will have the opportunity to participate, on Sunday 30 December from 17:00, at the end of three exceptional holidays, broadcast in duplex with the Palace Es Saadi, at one of the major events of the Marrakech Art Week.

The much anticipated sale will take place in three successive phases and covers a large part of the history of African art. Three distinct sales and three very different orientations and styles: from orientalists to Majorelle and the new African guard, very popular in recent years on the art market, and growing rapidly.

The pieces that were exhibited at the beginning of December in Paris, are currently visible before the sale until 2:00 p. m. Sunday in the living rooms of Palace Es Saadi. No great revelations or discoveries but rather the confirmation of the place taken by some contemporary African artists on the market. We find Cheri Samba or Seydou Keita, Ousmane Sow or the Ivorian Frédéric Buly-Bouabré, whose estimates are soaring. No doubt African contemporary art is on the rise! It remains to be seen whether the collectors present in the room or on the Internet will definitively endorse this justified craze during this last sale of the year.
