#CHICAGO The work of Brazilian artist Jonathas de Andrade evokes love, memory and place. His photographs, installations and videos reflect the geography and culture of Recife where he lives and works. In particular, it addresses the promises, failures and inequalities in the Northeast of Brazil as the region experiences rapid and often difficult urbanization. The exhibition features three new works, including Jogos dirigidos, a film commissioned by the MCA, a playful exchange between members of the deaf community in northeastern Brazil.
